Purpose of the Position
Data sits at the heart of the company. Our mission is to ensure that Awin is able to leverage the data it has access to across the group and build out reporting to ensure we are able to make better commercial decisions and provide best-in-class campaign management to support client facing department.
As a Junior BI Developer, you will be part of a team that helps to shape the future of reporting across the company. The Junior BI Developer supports the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions.
This role is ideal for someone early in their BI or data career who is looking to build hands-on experience working with data, reporting tools, and stakeholders under the guidance of more senior BI team members.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities
β’ Support the development and maintenance of BI reports, dashboards, and data visualisations.
β’ Assist in SQL queries to extract and transform data from source systems.
β’ Help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across BI outputs.
β’ Work with senior and mid-level BI Developers to support data models and reporting layers.
β’ Participate in requirement-gathering sessions to understand basic business reporting needs.
β’ Support testing and validation of BI solutions before release.
β’ Document reports, datasets, and standard BI processes.
β’ Respond to basic data and reporting queries from the business.
Skill & Expertise
β’ Basic experience with SQL, Python and relational databases.
β’ Exposure to BI and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
β’ Understanding of core data concepts such as tables, joins, measures, and dimensions.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
β’ Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Some experience working with data in a professional, academic, or project-based setting.
β’ Fluent in English
β’ An understanding of the AI landscape, its potential and how it can fit into your own workflow
Desirable Skills
β’ Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
β’ Experience in Databricks
β’ Exposure to ETL/ELT processes or data pipelines.
β’ Basic understanding of data governance or data quality practices.
β’ Experience using version control tools (e.g., Git, DevOps).
