About the Role
We are looking for an Account Executive, Small City to join Axon, a mission-driven company focused on protecting life through innovative public safety technology. This role involves managing a book of business focused on small city law enforcement agencies, driving pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound opportunities, and building trusted, long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own the entire sales cycle for a defined territory, from prospecting and discovery through close and expansion
- →Manage a book of business focused on small city law enforcement agencies (16–40 sworn officers)
- →Drive pipeline through a balanced mix of outbound prospecting and inbound opportunities
- →Build relationships with key law enforcement stakeholders and decision-makers
- →Deliver tailored product demonstrations via phone, web conferencing, and onsite visits
- →Sell Axon’s full ecosystem of hardware, software, and service solutions
- →Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including renewals and upsells
- →Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking in Salesforce
- →Participate in ongoing training to deepen product, industry, and competitive expertise
- →Travel to client sites, conferences, and roadshows as needed (up to 20%)
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- ✓2–3 years of full-cycle sales experience, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing
- ✓Proven success in a quota-carrying, commission-driven role
- ✓Experience managing multiple accounts and longer sales cycles
- ✓Strong CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
- ✓Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- ✓Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment
- ✓Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- ✓Coachable, collaborative, and motivated by results
