About the Role
Bedrock Robotics is seeking its first Data Scientist to lead high-impact data science initiatives across autonomy, safety, and product development. This role involves extracting insights from complex data generated by autonomous construction machinery and collaborating with various engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own and execute data science projects across autonomy, safety, and product areas
- →Analyze machine telemetry and operational data to improve system performance and safety
- →Define and track key metrics for system behavior and product outcomes
- →Design and evaluate experiments in partnership with engineering and product teams
- →Ensure data accessibility and reliability through collaboration with ML and data engineering teams
- →Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- →Contribute to establishing data science practices at Bedrock
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or applied machine learning
- ✓Experience with complex, high-volume, or real-time data from robotics or similar fields
- ✓Strong grounding in statistics, experimental design, and data analysis
- ✓Hands-on experience with data pipelines, data quality, and scalable analysis workflows
- ✓Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using modern data tooling and cloud analytics
- ✓Ability to operate as a senior individual contributor in a fast-paced startup environment
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field
