About the Role
We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer: Perception to join our team at Bedrock. This role focuses on developing and deploying advanced 3D perception systems for autonomous construction machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and train state-of-the-art models for object detection and semantic segmentation using BEV-based transformers
- →Build robust perception systems to handle dynamic occlusion, particulates, and high-vibration conditions
- →Optimize models for inference on embedded hardware and debug system-level issues
- →Collaborate with other teams to create state-of-the-art representations for downstream use cases
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience taking deep learning models from research to real-world production using PyTorch
- ✓Deep understanding of SE(3) transformations, homogeneous coordinates, and intrinsic/extrinsic sensor calibration
- ✓Practical experience with architectures that fuse modalities at the feature level
- ✓Experience with modern transformer-based architectures for object detection
- ✓Expertise in Python, C++, and Rust with understanding of memory management and real-time constraints
- ✓Strong data intuition and experience with data infrastructure
