About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven SMB Account Executive to join Benchling, a company that empowers biotech innovation through its R&D Cloud. In this role, you will drive new business within your territory, build relationships with key stakeholders, and contribute to expanding our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- →Generate and drive your own pipeline by identifying new business opportunities and engaging multiple personas from scientists to C-suite.
- →Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, leveraging data to ensure predictable revenue outcomes.
- →Effectively communicate the value of our platform, tailoring presentations to meet specific prospect needs.
- →Lead negotiations with potential clients, addressing objections and securing new business agreements.
- →Work across multiple personas within accounts to understand their needs and align Benchling’s solutions with their objectives.
- →Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience and drive long-term satisfaction.
- →Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- →Drive the sales process through Pipeline Generation, Champion Building, and maintaining account integrity in Salesforce.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree; life sciences major preferred.
- ✓1-3 years of experience as a Sales Development Representative or 1-2 years as an Account Executive; software demo experience a plus.
- ✓Knowledge of the life sciences industry, including R&D and/or IT functions.
- ✓Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline generation and manage complex sales cycles.
- ✓Strong forecasting skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- ✓Success in representing products outside of pre-established budgets, with the ability to build a compelling business case.
- ✓Experience working with diverse personas within an account, influencing decision-making at all levels.
- ✓Dynamic communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- ✓Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals.
- ✓Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- ✓Familiarity with MEDDIC sales methodology a plus.
