About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Financial Analyst to join our Strategic Finance team at Benchling, supporting the CX organization. You will play a key role in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement to help drive the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

→Work closely with CX teams as a strategic thought partner
→Analyze financial results and communicate insights
→Drive operational reporting including P&L management and executive dashboards
→Support annual and long-range planning processes
→Collaborate on month-end close activities and vendor trend reviews
→Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
→Enable resource planning and capacity modeling for Professional Services
→Facilitate ad hoc financial modeling and analysis for special projects
→Provide recommendations to automate reporting and streamline processes
→Partner with business leaders to drive strategic initiatives

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
✓2-5+ years experience in FP&A/Strategic Finance at a High Growth Startup or Public Company
✓Strong understanding of financial modeling, GAAP accounting and FP&A best practices
✓Strong communication skills with experience presenting analyses to management
✓General knowledge of supporting GTM and Professional Services teams
✓Proven ability to aggregate data and communicate insights to leadership
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✓Expert in Excel and Google Suite with ability to build financial models
✓Curious, organized, proactive, analytical and thoughtful team player
✓Comfortable in ambiguity and highly adaptable
✓Experience with Financial Planning tools (Adaptive, Netsuite), Salesforce, Certinia
