About the Role
We are looking for a Design Operations Manager to join Bestow's growing design team. This role will serve as the connective tissue between the design team and the product organization, building and maintaining systems, processes, and rituals that help designers do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
- βDevelop and manage design processes and workflows, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions
- βFacilitate and evolve key team rituals: critiques, design reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions
- βSteward the Figma workspace, establishing standards for design files and maintaining a single source of truth for design assets
- βEvaluate, implement, and manage the toolstack the design team uses day-to-day
- βOwn the function-specific onboarding experience for new design team members
- βDefine and track metrics that show how the design team is performing and where improvements can be made
Requirements
- βHighly organized with a strong attention to detail
- βSystems thinker with the ability to track high-level views of work while addressing granular details
- β5+ years of experience in product or design discipline, with 2-3 years specialized in operations, program management, or a similar operational role
- βOutstanding grasp of design fundamentals and the value that product designers deliver to engineering
- βStrong understanding of product design and UX processes
- βKnowledge of or experience with UX research operations or research program management
- βExceptional communication skills
- βHands-on experience with software design tools, particularly Figma
- βProven ability to build processes from scratch with buy-in from team members
- βExperience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other teams
