About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our dynamic software engineering Oncology team at BillionToOne. This role involves working in highly collaborative and interdisciplinary teams to scale personalized genomic medicine to millions of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate with engineers to design and develop backend services, data processing pipelines, and interfaces
- →Build user-facing features to optimize performance and reliability
- →Elevate backend systems including test order record database, third-party integrations, and distributed systems architecture
- →Write comprehensive unit/integration/end-to-end tests and technical documentation
- →Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and take responsibility for end-to-end project delivery
- →Collaborate cross-functionally, seeking input from team members
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of professional software development experience
- ✓Expertise in Python backend frameworks like Django or Flask
- ✓Strong foundation in cloud services, preferably AWS
- ✓Familiarity with modern AI-driven development practices
- ✓Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- ✓Proven track record of building products from conception to deployment
