Job Summary
The Strategic Finance Manager will support the Strategic Finance team through analysis focused on unit economics, cash flow, and key business initiatives. This role will help drive insight into business performance, contribute to high priority projects, and support cross-functional teams as the organization scales.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver who is comfortable working with data, building financial models, and translating analysis into clear insights. This position offers strong exposure to senior leaders and strategic initiatives while providing opportunities to develop analytical, financial, and operational skillsets.
Responsibilities
β’ Support financial and operational analysis related to unit economics, profitability, and cash flow performance
β’ Build and maintain models, dashboards, and reporting to track business performance and highlight trends across Birdβs different regions
β’ Facilitate planning for key areas of the P&L during budgeting / forecasting cycles
β’ Assist in identifying opportunities to improve reporting, workflows, and financial processes
β’ Support preparation of recurring business performance updates and materials for leadership review
β’ Operate as a reliable and proactive team member who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must Haves
β’ Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar
β’ 2+ years in a role with heavy financial modeling experience, including Big 4 Consulting / FDD, Valuation, Investment Banking, or similar
β’ Extensive financial modeling skills and knowledge of the 3 financial statements
β’ Strong financial literacy and business acumen, with the ability to quickly synthesize data and present key findings to executive stakeholders.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence senior leadership in fast-paced environments.
β’ A self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, dynamic environments and can operate with minimal supervision.
β’ Experience working in global and cross-functional teams.
Our budgeted range for this role is $110,000 - $135,000 CAD
