About the Role

We are looking for a Territory Account Executive to join our field sales organization at Block, Inc. (formerly Square). This role focuses on bringing a local experience to our Sellers (merchants) by engaging with them authentically and demonstrating our mission of economic empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

→Sell into your market in-person, with 80% of time spent face-to-face to source leads, perform discovery, and close deals
→Get to know active Square Sellers in your community and partner with account management and customer support
→Engage with onboarding teams to ensure successful implementation for Sellers
→Build a sustainable pipeline through walking your city, creating referral channels, and strategic partnerships
→Develop hands-on skills in demo and onboarding of Square hardware and software solutions
→Work with channel sales team to identify complementary partners for referrals
→Cultivate understanding of business and technology needs of restaurants, retail, and service-based businesses
→Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals and KPIs
→Utilize Salesforce to track sales activities and outcomes

Requirements

✓Full language proficiency in both English and Spanish
✓3+ years of sales experience in a full cycle closing role with field sales experience
✓Experience exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals
✓Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced environment
✓Business development experience including hunting and cold calling
✓Reliable transportation and residence in the market you are serving
✓Collaborative and team player mentality
✓Prior Salesforce experience
✓Preferred: 2+ years of payment processing or related technology experience
✓Preferred: 1+ years of experience working with restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses
