About the Role
We are looking for a Commissary Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our team at the West Sacramento facility. This essential role supports kitchen operations through dishwashing, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. The position requires working Thursday through Monday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- →Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and smallwares using handwashing and dishwashing machinery
- →Maintain the dishwashing area and ensure safe handling of all dishes with food safety considerations
- →Execute daily responsibilities and respond to momentary requests during production
- →Refill and restock ingredients, production supplies, and cleaning materials
- →Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines
- →Support savory and pastry teams in food preparation, including scaling recipes, mixing ingredients, slicing, and portioning
- →Collaborate with teammates to keep the kitchen running smoothly through effective communication
- →Keep station and equipment clean and in good condition
- →Prioritize food safety and physical safety in the workspace
- →Adhere to GMP policies, use PPE, and follow dress code
- →Practice kitchen etiquette while working in close proximity with teammates
- →Arrive punctually and work proactively and efficiently
- →Adapt and pivot when plans change
Requirements
- ✓Relevant experience working in a professional kitchen
- ✓Thorough understanding of safe operation in a professional kitchen environment
- ✓Ability to responsibly operate, clean, and maintain professional equipment
- ✓Deep love for food and creating exceptional products for guests
- ✓Ability to work five days per week, including at least one weekend shift and holidays
- ✓Food Handler’s Certificate or certification within 30 days of hire
- ✓Ability to read and speak English proficiently
- ✓Basic math and writing skills
- ✓Reliable, consistent, and punctual
- ✓Thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced, high-energy environment
