About the Role
We are seeking a Data Processing Engineer to design, develop, and maintain real-time and micro-batch data processing systems. This role focuses on building scalable stream-processing solutions and ensuring high availability in data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign and maintain real-time and micro-batch data processing systems for production KPI data
- βImplement scalable stream-processing solutions using Apache Kafka and MQTT
- βEnsure high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance in streaming pipelines
- βOptimize ingestion, transformation, and aggregation workflows for performance and reliability
- βDevelop and maintain backend services and business logic via RESTful APIs and microservices
- βBuild modular, scalable microservice-based systems
- βDesign clean, well-documented APIs with proper versioning and security best practices
- βImplement authentication, authorization, logging, and error-handling mechanisms
- βContribute to architectural decisions for modular/microservice-based applications
- βDevelop robust ETL/ELT workflows and data transformation services
- βEnsure data integrity and resilience across distributed systems
- βWork with data engineers, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- βAnalyze and improve backend performance, scalability, and maintainability
- βRefactor legacy components into modular architectures
- βImplement automated testing to ensure reliability
- βContribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- βIdentify bottlenecks and propose architectural enhancements
Requirements
- βExperience with real-time and micro-batch data processing systems
- βStrong knowledge of stream-processing technologies like Apache Kafka and MQTT
- βExperience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- βProficiency in ETL/ELT workflows and data transformation services
- βUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- βAbility to design secure and well-documented APIs
- βExperience with automated testing (unit, integration, load testing)
- βKnowledge of data integrity and distributed systems
