About the Role
We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to manage and operate non-SAP Oracle databases globally. This role involves providing first customer contact for database-related topics and ensuring stable operations of enterprise Oracle database products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Administer and operate non-SAP Oracle databases worldwide
- →Serve as first customer contact for database-related topics at WaferFab Penang
- →Create and implement globally valid operating concepts and standards for Oracle databases
- →Ensure stable operational performance of enterprise Oracle database products
- →Provide customer advisory service regarding IT strategy, standards, architecture, and cost-benefit analysis
- →Implement customer orders within the Oracle Competence Center (OCC)
- →Participate in on-call services
- →Implement and operate high availability solutions
- →Perform design analysis and performance tuning
- →Manage releases, including new releases, upgrade planning, and implementation
- →Install, administer, monitor, and perform backup/restores of Oracle database products
- →Apply ITIL processes in the context of Oracle Database Product & Services tasks
Requirements
- ✓Extensive experience with Oracle database administration
- ✓Knowledge of ITIL processes
- ✓Experience with high availability solutions
- ✓Strong skills in performance tuning and database optimization
- ✓Ability to manage release cycles and upgrades
