About the Role
Bounteous is seeking a B2B Marketing Automation Platform Architect to lead high-priority marketing automation implementation projects and provide ongoing platform support. This role sits within the Technology team and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams of developers, solution architects, marketing strategists, and digital marketing specialists to deliver digital customer experiences. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible, and have a strong affinity for data and process.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead discovery efforts to gather information from clients and internal teams to understand business needs and solution requirements for lead management and B2B digital marketing
- →Develop deep knowledge of each client's business and available data to align platform solutions with marketing and sales objectives
- →Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements for platform configuration, data schemas, and system integrations
- →Lead platform configuration and development of digital marketing campaigns across all channels supported in B2B Marketing Automation platforms
- →Oversee development, testing, and deployment of platform work completed by developers
- →Provide support to development teams working on platform integrations
- →Create Architecture and Technical specifications documents
- →Serve as day-to-day technical platform SME to internal and client teams
- →Work closely with project management to manage workflow and deadlines across multiple platform-related projects
- →Provide support to senior team members during project estimation and Marketing Automation discovery engagements
- →Support internal Campaign Operations team for ongoing platform and schema optimizations
- →Direct technical implementation of features as needed
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related business or technology field, or equivalent work experience
- ✓5 to 10 years experience in a Software Development role working with data-driven applications
- ✓Minimum 2 years working with Marketo and CRM systems as a Platform Architect, with experience leading 3+ platform implementation projects
- ✓Experience serving as a Marketo Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of various platform modules and capabilities
- ✓Familiarity with commonly-requested Marketo integrations and associated B2B technologies
- ✓Marketo and CRM certifications preferred
- ✓Experienced data modeler in relational database systems
- ✓Experience writing SQL queries for Select/Insert/Update/Delete, including multi-table joins and outer joins
- ✓Proficiency with Apache Velocity, Munchkin, REST/SOAP API
- ✓Experience or familiarity with HTML, MJML, CSS and responsive email coding a plus
- ✓Agency experience preferred, with 2+ years in a client-facing role and knowledge of agency structures and agile project management
- ✓Solid understanding of B2B campaign management, lead/account management, audience segmentation, industry best practices, and legal compliance
- ✓Excellent oral and written communication skills
- ✓Comfortable working with all levels of an organization and communicating effectively with technical and business staff
- ✓Familiarity with a variety of marketing automation platforms and marketing cloud solutions a plus
