BrainRocket is a global company creating end-to-end tech products for clients across Fintech, iGaming, and Marketing. βYoung, ambitious, and unstoppable, we've already taken Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Poland, and Serbia by storm. Our BRO team consists of 1,300 bright minds creating innovative ideas and products. We donβt follow formats. We shape them. We build what works, launch it fast, and make sure it hits.
We are looking for a Technical Product Owner for our Compliance & Regulation Squad to take ownership of the BaaS regulatory framework and ensure operational integrity. In this role, you will manage the technical backlog for our security and regulatory infrastructure, acting as a key bridge between our Core Banking engine and global compliance partners. Your mission will be to enable scalable growth without regulatory friction while delivering a seamless and secure experience for our legitimate users.
β
Key responsibilities:
β’
Backlog & Strategic Alignment: Own and prioritize the Compliance backlog based on critical business objectives and Global OKRs. Partner with the Product Manager to translate company strategy into actionable technical milestones.
β’
Technical Integration Oversight: Act as the primary technical resource for integrations with Identity (KYC), Risk scoring, and AML tools. Manage technical dependencies with the platform and third-party providers.
β’
Advanced Requirement Engineering: Gather and verify functional/non-functional requirements. Build and maintain Epics and Stories with a heavy focus on Financial Edge Cases (e.g., sanction hits, failed KYC loops, or suspicious transaction patterns).
β’
Regulatory & Security Compliance: Ensure every feature satisfies international standards, including PSD2/3, DORA, and PCI-DSS. Act as a mediator to ensure the "User Golden Path" never bypasses mandatory security checks.
β’
Stakeholder & Vendor Liaison: Serve as the central technical link between the Engineering team, the CISO, and external vendors. Secure approvals for data privacy and security architecture decisions.
β’
Sprint Execution & Quality: Define sprint objectives and approve all product increments. Ensure every releaseβfrom backend API to frontend UIβmeets our platformβs rigorous security and audit logging standards.
β’
Incident & Change Management: Proactively manage change requests for security patches and regulatory updates. Define "Acceptance Criteria" that mandate strict audit-trail documentation and security validation.
β’
Operational Guidance: Provide subject matter expertise to internal teams. Oversee technical operational tasks, such as whitelisting processes and system permission architecture.
β
Requirements:
β’
Experience: 3+ years as a Technical PO, Business Analyst, or System Analyst in Fintech, BaaS, or RegTech.
β’
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the DORA framework, ISO 27001 principles, and the technical lifecycle of KYC/AML/CTF workflows.
β’
Technical Skill Set:
β’
API & Data: Proficient in documenting/testing RESTful APIs and webhooks; solid understanding of backend architecture and data flow.
β’
Modeling: Ability to create and interpret UML and BPMN diagrams for complex money and data movements.
β’
Lifecycle: Expert-level knowledge of the full requirements lifecycle in a high-stakes environment.
β’
Analytical Decision Making: Ability to synthesize complex information from third-party APIs to make logical, rapid decisions during technical conflicts or security incidents.
β’
Leadership & Vision: Proven ability to lead a cross-functional squad (Node.js, QA, Data) through influence and technical authority rather than direct reporting lines.
β’
Agile Mastery: Deep experience in Scrum/Agile, specifically managing high-velocity delivery with significant third-party dependencies.
β’
Communication: Advanced English (written and spoken). Ability to translate "Regulation-speak" into "Developer-speak" and vice versa.
