About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team at Brooks. This role involves shaping, validating, and implementing scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions. You will provide technical leadership for vendor engineering teams and contribute to vendor RFP processes.

Key Responsibilities

→Adapt, develop, and deploy solutions across Brooks’ global websites, including Salesforce Commerce Cloud-based implementations
→Perform hands-on development across front-end and back-end technologies
→Serve as a technical lead for day-to-day development work
→Work directly with external vendor and partner engineering teams
→Lead technical walkthroughs and maintain clear documentation
→Coordinate with Enterprise IT and integration partners
→Participate in structured on-call rotations
→Support the continued maturation of agile development practices
→Drive AI- and innovation-focused initiatives
→Assist Digital Operations Team in CI/CD activities
→Ensure development practices align with security and regulatory requirements
→Monitor web performance and ensure solutions meet standards
→Partner with the Digital Solutions Architect
→Translate solution architectures and product requirements into detailed technical designs
→Establish and evolve engineering best practices
→Co-develop POC solutions with Architecture team
→Foster a culture of engineering excellence
→Document, demo, and present new technical solutions
→Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and Technical Project Managers

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
✓7+ years of hands-on experience building customer-facing web applications
✓Proficiency in at least one major Web Development programming language
✓Strong experience with modern web development frameworks and tools
✓Demonstrated experience developing on enterprise eCommerce platforms
✓Expert knowledge of website performance optimization and mobile-first development practices
✓Demonstrated ability to influence system design and architectural decisions
✓Scripting and automation proficiency
✓Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
✓Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, databases, and cloud-based infrastructure
✓Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
