About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our Design Systems team at Bumble. You'll shape the foundations of Bumble's product experience, ensuring our interfaces feel intuitive, inclusive, and deeply human across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, evolve, and maintain system tokens, components, and patterns that are accessible, resilient, and scalable across platforms
- →Audit existing product experiences to identify design debt and inconsistencies, then take ownership of prioritizing and delivering improvements
- →Partner closely with engineering to ensure strong parity between Figma libraries and production code
- →Create clear, discoverable system documentation that empowers teams to ship confidently and efficiently
- →Advocate for safe-by-design and accessible patterns that reflect Bumble's commitment to kindness and safety
- →Support and onboard product teams adopting the design system
- →Contribute to the design system's product strategy by helping define its vision, roadmap, and success metrics
- →Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to iterate and continuously improve the system
Requirements
- ✓Deep empathy for diverse users and experience designing with inclusion, accessibility, and safety at the forefront
- ✓Strong experience designing and scaling component libraries, tokens, and patterns across multiple products or teams
- ✓Highly fluent in Figma, including components, variants, variable collections, libraries, and documentation workflows
- ✓Experience managing complex token systems (Tokens Studio experience is a plus)
- ✓Ability to communicate clearly and collaboratively with designers and engineers
- ✓Ownership of work end-to-end and ability to adapt plans with an agile mindset
- ✓Comfort using AI-powered tools to support design exploration, documentation, and system maintenance
- ✓7–9 years of experience using and maintaining or contributing to product design systems
