About the Role

We are looking for a CAD Designer / 3D BIM Modeller to support the design, tender, and execution phases of complex infrastructure and process projects. This role focuses on developing coordinated 2D and 3D models for multidisciplinary projects in water, wastewater, energy, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

→Develop and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for process and MEICA systems using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar software
→Prepare Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in collaboration with process and design engineers
→Develop General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and installation drawings for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
→Support BIM Level 2/3 project delivery by working according to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and internal CAD/BIM standards
→Work in collaborative 3D design environments according to international BIM standards such as ISO 19650
→Coordinate models between different disciplines and resolve design clashes using tools like Navisworks
→Manage drawing registers, file structures, and revision control according to project documentation procedures
→Prepare models and drawings for technical review, fabrication, and installation on site
→Participate in design discussions, model coordination meetings, and BIM workshops
→Provide technical support to junior CAD or BIM staff if needed

Requirements

✓Graduation or Professional Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent through experience
✓Demonstrable experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar 3D design software
✓Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process systems, preferably in water treatment, energy, or industrial process installations
✓Basic knowledge of BIM methodologies and collaborative design environments
✓Ability to produce accurate and coordinated technical drawings and models
✓Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments
✓Strong attention to detail and good knowledge of document management procedures
✓Collaborative mindset and good communication skills
✓Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus
