Engineering Design Manager – Civil, Maritime and Offshore at cabonorte

We are looking for an Engineering Design Manager – Civil, Maritime and Offshore who will lead the coordination of engineering design activities for complex infrastructure projects. You will be involved in the development and delivery of technically demanding projects in civil infrastructure, marine construction and offshore environments. The role supports engineering teams working across international markets and ensures that engineering solutions are translated into robust, buildable and efficient project designs. In this multidisciplinary role, you work closely with engineering specialists, project management and construction teams to ensure engineering concepts are effectively integrated into project execution. Your Contribution • Lead and coordinate the engineering design process for civil, maritime and offshore infrastructure projects • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams including structural, geotechnical, marine and civil specialists • Oversee the preparation and delivery of engineering drawings, calculations and technical documentation • Ensure engineering deliverables are produced according to high standards of technical integrity and quality • Act as the technical interface between engineering teams and project management • Review and validate engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable industry standards • Support value engineering initiatives to improve constructability, efficiency and technical performance • Ensure the design process remains aligned with construction methodologies, project schedules and budgets • Collaborate with project managers, construction teams and external consultants to resolve technical challenges • Organise and lead technical review sessions and design workshops during different project phases • Identify potential technical risks within engineering designs and develop mitigation strategies • Ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable technical standards, safety regulations and internal quality procedures • Maintain clear documentation and reporting throughout the design development process Your Profile • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline• Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering design within civil infrastructure, maritime, offshore or dredging environments• Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams• Strong understanding of the engineering design lifecycle from concept development through detailed design and construction support• Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and project management Languages • English • Dutch • German is a plus What We Offer • A Netherlands-based position within an international engineering organisation• Exposure to major infrastructure projects with high technical complexity• A central role where engineering decisions directly influence project delivery• The opportunity to lead engineering design activities in a dynamic and multidisciplinary project environment About Cabo Norte Professionals Cabo Norte Professionals is a team of highly driven recruitment experts based in Belgium with 20 years of in-house recruitment expertise in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia.   It’s our talent to find yours!
