About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join Canva's QA team. This role focuses on improving quality in embedded teams and driving process, tooling, and testing changes.
Key Responsibilities
- βDrive improvements in quality for embedded teams and work with stakeholders to implement process, tooling, and testing changes
- βCreate test strategies for team projects with a focus on shift left QA activities
- βServe as the subject matter expert for testing and product knowledge, driving knowledge sharing and documentation
- βModel initiative and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes, and solutions for QA engineers
- βWork closely with other QA engineers to define expectations and upskill team members
Requirements
- βExperience working with product teams and defining QA processes based on Shift Left Testing and Quality Assistance models
- βProficiency in Computer Engineering Fundamentals like data structures and solution design
- βAbility to complete a coding challenge as part of the interview
- βEffective communication with Product Managers and Engineering Leadership
- βExperience in testing complex web apps and backend services
- βMeticulousness in work and passion for testing
- βExperience in coaching/guiding team members with testing best practices
- βBE and FE test automation experience
- βExperience with data analytics tools to find root causes of issues and inform test strategy
