About the Role
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join the Product Insights & Enablement (PIE) group at Canva. This role focuses on transforming raw data into clean, scalable data models that enable product teams to understand how internal tools are used.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign, build, and maintain scalable data models for internal reporting and experimentation
- βTransform raw event and product data into clean, tested datasets ready for analysis
- βCollaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to define and standardize product metrics
- βImplement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability
- βImprove documentation and metric clarity to increase transparency in reporting
- βContribute to the evolution of analytics engineering workflows and tooling
Requirements
- βProven experience writing advanced SQL and working with modern data transformation tools like dbt
- βStrong understanding of data modeling principles and analytics engineering best practices
- βExperience working with large datasets in cloud data warehouse environments
- βAbility to translate product questions into structured, scalable data solutions
- βStrong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
- βGrowth mindset and motivation to deepen technical craft
