About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Brand Copywriter for a 10-month maternity cover to join Canva's creative team. This role involves working with copywriters, designers, and producers to develop impactful messaging across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
- βWrite, review, and edit flawless copy for various marketing placements and Canva products
- βParticipate in early concept ideation and brainstorming sessions
- βApply strategic thinking to briefs to shape clear copy decisions
- βCreate messaging frameworks and toolkits to maintain brand voice consistency
- βCollaborate with design, motion, and product teams from concept to execution
- βDevelop copy that bridges product and creative elements
- βMaintain high editorial standards by applying brand voice guidelines
Requirements
- βAt least 8 years of experience as a copywriter, either agency or client-side
- βStrong understanding of brand marketing channels and best practices
- βFamiliarity with various copy styles, from long-form content to succinct social posts
- βPassion for innovative ideation and impactful work
- βAbility to work in a dynamic, multi-skilled agile environment
- βStrong storytelling skills with a consistent tone of voice
- βAttention to detail, style, and tone
- βGood grasp of English, sentence construction, and grammatical structure
- βInternationalization awareness in copywriting
- βOpen to giving and receiving feedback
