About the Role
We are hiring Data Scientists to join our thriving community at Canva. This role involves partnering with teams across the company to make strategic decisions through data, designing experiments, and building data models to scale insights.
Key Responsibilities
- βPartnering with teams across Canva to influence strategic decisions through data.
- βDesigning and analysing A/B tests and other experiments that drive product and business outcomes.
- βBuilding data models, dashboards, and tooling that help teams scale insights.
- βDefining and forecasting key metrics to track progress and surface opportunities.
- βCommunicating findings clearly to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- βUplifting the broader data community through mentorship, best practices, and collaboration.
Requirements
- βProven track record of using data to drive impact across products or business units.
- βAbility to write complex SQL and work with large-scale datasets.
- βStrategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to simplify complexity using data.
- βExcellent communication and storytelling skills.
- βExperience with experimentation, event instrumentation, and data warehousing.
- βFamiliarity with tools like Python or R and a strong foundation in statistics or a STEM field.
- βKnowledge of key tech metrics like product funnels and growth accounting.
- βValue for data accuracy, integrity, and using your craft to enable better decisions.
