About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DFIR practitioner to join Canva's security team. This role involves hands-on incident response and forensic investigation, playing a pivotal role in shaping Canvaβs DFIR capability.
Key Responsibilities
- βAct as a senior escalation point and incident coordinator for security incidents across cloud, endpoint, and SaaS environments
- βLead and participate in security incident response from detection through recovery
- βPerform deep forensic analysis to determine scope, impact, and root cause
- βPartner with Detection, Platform, and Engineering teams to drive security improvements
- βContribute to DFIR tooling requirements, workflows, and automation
- βMaintain and evolve incident response documentation and procedures
- βRun threat-hunting and investigation exercises
- βMentor and share knowledge within the DFIR team
- βParticipate in the on-call roster for security incident response
Requirements
- βStrong experience leading complex security incident investigations in cloud-native environments
- βComfort with deep technical investigations and forensic analysis across endpoints, cloud, and SaaS
- βExperience building security tooling, automation, and response workflows
- βSystems thinking and focus on long-term improvements
- βExperience mentoring others and sharing knowledge
