At the moment, this role is focused on
β’ Working alongside the Group Leads for API Platform and User Platform to shape and drive large-scale company goals
β’ Driving end-to-end delivery of complex programs, coordinating efforts across multiple teams and groups
β’ Monitoring and tracking delivery status across teams and goals, ensuring visibility and promoting accountability
β’ Assessing and managing program risks, and helping teams build confidence to deliver through them
β’ Managing dependencies across teams and groups, flagging blockers early and driving resolution
β’ Supporting engineering leads in maintaining strong delivery practices, such as milestone shaping, capacity planning and prioritization
β’ Ensuring an appropriate degree of consistency in planning, documentation, and delivery practices across User Platform and API Platform
β’ Building partnerships with cross-functional teams to influence decisions and drive alignment
β’ Building a culture and environment to achieve excellence and innovation
β’ Facilitating timely, transparent decision-making practices across the groups and programs
You're probably a match if
β’ You have a minimum of 5 yearsβ TPM experience at a SaaS company, with hands-on experience driving large programs of work
β’ You have experience working in platform engineering domains β especially API infrastructure, traffic management and identity/permissions systems
β’ You have deep familiarity with Agile product development methodologies and technical fluency to participate meaningfully in engineering discussions
β’ Youβve driven cross-cutting programs that span many teams and groups
β’ Youβre a natural communicator who leads through influence, not authority, and you love navigating complexity and tackling ambiguous problems
β’ You have experience working with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver key company initiatives
β’ Youβre comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
β’ You are process-oriented but flexible in approach
β’ You are motivated to provide an inclusive and psychologically safe environment for our diverse team to collaborate together towards shared goals
β’ You are dedicated to personal growth and improving in your craft as a TPM

About the team
Product Platformβs mission is to βBuild pathways that empower Canva to deliver a delightful experience for billions of usersβ. We help teams across Canva build better product faster, instead of reinventing common building blocks. Product Platform consists of four groups: Product Insights Enablement, Client Platform, User Platform, and API Platform.
This role sits across User Platform and API Platform β two of the most technically foundational groups in the supergroup. User Platform is responsible for building the core user identity and permissions capabilities that power Canvaβs product at scale. API Platform groupβs vision is to empower Canva with a secure, unified traffic and API platform that makes connectivity seamless, reliable, and resilient at scale.
About Technical Program Managers at Canva
At Canva, weβre all constantly striving towards our Crazy Big Goals! Since growing to a worldwide team of over 5,000 we need to work effectively together and improve our delivery ability as we scale β which is where our Technical Program Managers come in.
As a TPM, your mission is to work closely with senior managers and development teams to build a sustainable culture of positive urgency in delivery. Youβll lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs and be equally comfortable working with leadership to set strategic goals as you are discussing technical trade-offs with an engineer.
