About the Role
Capco is seeking a Data Engineer to join their global technology and management consultancy. This role involves designing and building scalable data pipelines on Databricks to support analytics, AI, and Data Products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build scalable data pipelines on Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, MLflow) to support analytics, AI, and Data Products.
- →Consult clients on modern data architectures, best practices, and Databricks platform design.
- →Implement data transformations, ingestion frameworks, and automated workflows using Unity Catalog and Delta Live Tables.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, Architects, Business Stakeholders) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- →Support clients through workshops, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across the full data lifecycle.
Requirements
- ✓Strong experience with Databricks (including certifications such as Data Engineer Associate/Professional).
- ✓Solid skills in Python, SQL, Spark, Delta Lake, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- ✓Consulting mindset: communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
- ✓Understanding of data governance, data quality concepts, and secure data access management (Unity Catalog preferred).
- ✓Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in agile project environments with complex enterprise data landscapes.
- ✓Fluent English and German language coupled with presentation skills.
