About the Role
Capco is seeking a Frontend React Developer to join their team in London. You will be responsible for crafting clean, responsive, and secure web applications for global financial clients in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- βBuild performant and maintainable user interfaces using React (Hooks, Context Suspense) and Typescript
- βDevelop responsive cross-browser compatible layouts using modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid), CSS-in-JS or modular CSS, and component libraries such as MUI or Tailwind
- βOptimise application performance using techniques like code-splitting, memorization, and lazy loading
- βEnsure secure application development following OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT principles
- βCollaborate closely with backend, design, and product teams to shape engaging user journeys
- βContribute to team learning through code reviews, mentoring, and sharing best practices
Requirements
- βStrong proficiency in JavaScript (ES5/ES6+) and Typescript
- βHands-on experience building production applications in React 18+
- βSolid understanding of state management (Context API, Redux Toolkit, or similar)
- βExperience consuming RESTful APIs and handling async data with modern patterns
- βStrong CSS skills including Flexbox, Grid, and CSS pre-processors like SASS/LESS
- βFamiliarity with modern build and tooling ecosystems such as Vite, Webpack or similar
- βExperience with frontend testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright
- βA passion for UI performance, quality, and delivering clean code
