About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Python server-side developer to join our engineering team at Capco, a global technology and management consulting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and efficient applications.
Key Responsibilities
- →Write clean, testable, and efficient Python code for server-side logic and applications
- →Develop and integrate robust RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the server and front-end clients
- →Design, implement, and optimize data storage solutions, working with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- →Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- →Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and security of applications
- →Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and bottlenecks to improve application stability and performance
- →Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality
- →Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- →Automate routine tasks and deployment processes with CI/CD tools
Requirements
- ✓Advanced knowledge of Python programming, including core concepts, data structures, and OOP
- ✓Strong experience with at least one Python web framework (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
- ✓Expertise in database systems, including designing schemas and writing complex queries
- ✓Experience with libraries like cx_oracle, pyodbc, and pymssql
- ✓Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git
- ✓Strong experience with unit testing and debugging tools
- ✓Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- ✓Familiarity with design principles for scalable applications and cloud platforms
