About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on DBA Team Lead to join our expanding trading platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibility, focusing on database management and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 DBAs, acting as the main technical escalation point
→Own the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of PostgreSQL and MySQL environments
→Design and implement high availability, failover, load balancing, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
→Oversee database provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization
→Drive automation using Terraform (IaC) and Ansible
→Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, and proactive capacity planning
→Manage Linux environments hosting databases
→Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Data teams
→Maintain documentation and participate in on-call rotation

Requirements

✓Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL in production
✓Proven experience leading or mentoring a technical team
✓Solid expertise in high availability, failover, load balancing, and disaster recovery design
✓Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible
✓Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python)
✓Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
✓Ability to manage complex environments in high-load, mission-critical systems
✓Experience with ClickHouse, MongoDB, Redshift, or MS SQL Server is a plus
✓Background in fintech or trading platforms is an advantage
