About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Engineer I to help build and scale Capital Rx’s analytics foundation. This role focuses on developing high-quality, analytics-ready datasets and a consistent metrics/semantic layer that power reporting, self-service BI, and operational insights.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with operational and analytics teams to translate business needs into analytics-ready data models
- →Build and maintain dbt projects including model layering, macros, exposures, and packages
- →Design and evolve dimensional models aligned with key business domains
- →Establish and maintain metrics definitions and governance
- →Implement robust data quality practices to ensure reliable reporting
- →Produce clear documentation and enablement assets for self-service analytics
- →Optimize warehouse performance and cost in Snowflake
- →Use software engineering practices for safe deployment of changes
- →Provide ongoing support for critical analytics data products
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- ✓Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehouses
- ✓Hands-on experience with dbt core
- ✓Solid foundation in data modeling concepts
- ✓Experience defining and managing metrics
- ✓1+ years of experience with analytics models or BI datasets
- ✓Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- ✓Self-motivated with attention to detail
