About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead a large engineering organization responsible for end-to-end development of Cato’s Security product lines platform. This role combines people leadership, technical vision, and product partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and scale a 50+ engineer organization, including group managers and senior technical leaders
- →Own the technical vision and architecture of end-to-end security services
- →Drive enterprise-grade architecture for large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS systems
- →Partner closely with Product Management to define roadmaps and influence product strategy
- →Establish and own a strong quality culture, including engineering best practices
- →Own delivery and operational excellence: quality, scalability, observability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience as a senior engineering leader managing managers and leading large engineering organizations
- ✓Security domain experience – mandatory (network security, cloud security, SASE, Zero Trust, etc.)
- ✓Strong background in SaaS, cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms operating at high scale and load
- ✓Proven experience owning end-to-end product development, from backend runtime systems to frontend/web applications
- ✓Deep experience in system architecture and design of complex distributed systems
- ✓Strong product mindset with a demonstrated ability to influence product vision and roadmap
- ✓Experience with modern backend and frontend stacks (e.g., Java, Go, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, or similar)
- ✓Experience with CI/CD, testing strategies, and operating services in fast release cycles
- ✓Experience with monitoring, analytics, and observability systems
- ✓Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- ✓B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent academic background
