About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader and mentor within cross-functional project teams. This role involves taking ownership of complex software solutions, system maintenance, and architectural decisions while delivering high-quality code and resolving critical defects.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead design and implementation of features and resolution of complex defects
- →Conduct thorough root cause analysis of production issues and implement sustainable solutions
- →Establish and maintain coding standards, best practices, and comprehensive testing strategies
- →Conduct thorough code reviews and drive adoption of peer review culture
- →Drive performance optimization initiatives and ensure scalability considerations
- →Mentor and develop junior and middle-level colleagues across different technical areas
- →Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and support career progression
- →Take ownership of complex technical tasks including feature development and defect resolution
- →Provide accurate technical estimations and planning input for development tasks
- →Coordinate technical dependencies and collaborate effectively across different organizational units
- →Support release management activities and participate in deployment processes
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in Java enterprise application development
- ✓Strong proficiency in core Java (Java 8 or higher) and J2EE technologies
- ✓Deep expertise with relational database technologies, particularly MySQL
- ✓Proven track record of leading production support efforts for mission-critical applications
- ✓Advanced debugging and problem-solving skills with large codebases
- ✓Extensive experience working with legacy systems
- ✓Strong understanding of data integration patterns including ETL processes
- ✓Experience leading incident response efforts and conducting root cause analysis
- ✓Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members
- ✓Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git), build tools (Maven), and CI/CD practices
- ✓Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- ✓Experience with application servers, deployment processes, and managing production environments
- ✓Strong knowledge of web services (SOAP/REST) and API integration patterns
- ✓Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams with strong collaboration skills
