About the Role
The Office of the New York City Comptroller seeks a Chief of Staff to support the Leadership team in developing and implementing special projects. This role focuses on strategic planning, trustee relationships, and ESG initiatives within the Bureau of Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee special projects that are priorities for the agency
- →Help restructure team work and staff roles to better balance interests and needs
- →Oversee preparation for all Trustee communications including investment memos and board meeting content
- →Oversee BAM Investment Committee schedules, material review, and preparation
- →Monitor and advise on bureau PS and OTPS budget
- →Liaise with other departments on agency-wide priorities
- →Work with Communications and IT departments on external communications
- →Establish additional systems within BAM as needed
- →Represent the Bureau at internal and external meetings
- →Maintain confidential records on behalf of the Assistant Comptroller
Requirements
- ✓Strong leadership and strategic planning experience
- ✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- ✓Experience in public sector or asset management preferred
- ✓Understanding of ESG considerations in investments
- ✓Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
