About the Role

This position involves performing responsible work in the supervision, planning, implementation, coordination, tracking, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner for DEIB.

Key Responsibilities

→Perform responsible work in the supervision, planning, implementation, coordination, tracking, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and programs for DEIB
→Work with the Assistant Commissioner to establish strategic priorities
→Represent the Assistant Commissioner at Agency, interagency, and external meetings, presentations, and conferences
→Resolve frequent rapid response items while tracking and progressing long-term projects
→Coordinate and manage special projects as directed by the Assistant Commissioner for DEIB
→Supervise day-to-day operations of DEIB including overseeing the schedule and organizing meetings for the Assistant Commissioner
→Coordinate and prepare necessary materials for meetings and projects
→Gather information and prepare correspondence for the Assistant Commissioner for DEIB

Requirements

✓Current permanent Parks employees serving in the Administrative Community Relations Specialist civil service title or on leave from the title
✓Permanent Parks employees in or on leave from a comparable title (e.g., Administrative Staff Analyst or Administrative Manager)
✓Parks employees who are reachable on the Administrative Community Relations Specialist civil service list or a comparable civil service list
✓Parks employees who qualify for a comparable title
