About the Role

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Analysis and Reporting Team. This role will play a key part in data-driven decision-making, supporting various data technical projects and analytics across all teams.

Key Responsibilities

→Build tools to document observations from Specialists conducting inspections
→Develop targeted reports, EHS dashboards, and data visualization models
→Shadow Business Unit Specialists during oversight inspections
→Lead the planning and implementation of AEU projects
→Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
→Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports on EH&S program performance
→Perform data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and advanced statistical modeling
→Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines
→Review portfolio data to identify anomalies and ensure corrections
→Ensure all data is validated through crosswalks and peer reviews
→Build and maintain a DQA report
→Provide DQA training to users
→Ensure tools developed by AEU are functioning according to requirements
→Assist with monitoring and maintaining EHS Power BI dashboards
→Maintain Product Change Logs
→Assist with project management for department and agency wide projects
→Perform special projects, ad-hoc analysis, and prepare relevant reports

Requirements

✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✓Experience with Power BI, Smartsheet, Excel, Python, and SQL
✓Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
✓Effective project management and strategic leadership abilities
✓Strong communication and documentation skills
