About the Role
The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking a highly organized, creative, and proactive Deputy Chief of Staff to join the Executive team and help advance DCWP’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- →Execute discrete, complex projects including drafting memos, background documents, presentation materials, reports, and other documents that distill dense issues for internal and external review
- →Communicate executive team goals to senior leaders to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively
- →Provide guidance to the executive team on project management for the coordination and alignment of diverse agency functions
- →Supervise ad hoc project teams to work on new initiatives and new legislation that impacts multiple divisions
- →Serve as a liaison with City Hall, other city agencies, and internally with other DCWP divisions
- →Represent and/or join the Commissioner at public functions, as needed
Requirements
Strong project management, relationship management, policy analysis, legislative text analysis, and communication skills
