About the Role
The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team. This role involves providing desktop services for OTI and client-supported agencies, ensuring optimal workstation performance and maintaining security.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide hands-on and remote support for hardware and user support issues
- →Serve as the initial point of contact for all IT issues
- →Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and equipment
- →Image desktop computers and patch Windows 11 workstations
- →Update and modify standard Windows 11 images and task sequences
- →Serve as a team lead on special projects
- →Strengthen OTI Windows desktop security posture
- →Liaise with Information Security and Cyber teams on vulnerability management
- →Develop desktop security procedures and zero-day response plans
- →Manage service delivery performance through SLAs
- →Test, plan, and supervise the deployment of new operating system releases
- →Develop and document standardized user processes and procedures
Requirements
- ✓Experience with Windows 11 and hardware support
- ✓Strong understanding of IT issues and troubleshooting
- ✓Knowledge of patching and automation tools
- ✓Familiarity with security procedures and SLAs
- ✓Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
- ✓Eligibility for civil service exams
