About the Role
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) is seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join the Data Science team within the Office of Management Analysis and Planning (OMAP). OMAP serves as the evaluation and assessment arm of the NYPD, focusing on innovative strategies to enhance policy development and organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop data science services to solve Department challenges
- →Harmonize analysis and research to advise leadership on policy
- →Work with structured and unstructured datasets including text, geospatial, and network data
- →Write clean code to integrate data science services with business intelligence tools
- →Contribute to policy development and program evaluation
