About the Role
The New York City Mayor’s Office is seeking a Community Coordinator to join the Office of the Chief Counsel. This role involves providing administrative and research support to attorneys, managing documents, and coordinating meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- →Search for and review documents responsive to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests
- →Provide support to attorneys in the Office of the Chief Counsel
- →Create reports in collaboration with attorneys
- →Manage correspondence and document management
- →Coordinate meetings with the Chief Counsel’s Special Assistant
- →Transcribe complex legal records and notes into typed documents
- →Assist in the preparation of matters and projects assigned to team members
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s Degree required
- ✓1+ years of experience working in a legal assistant, paralegal, or equivalent capacity
- ✓Commitment to public service
- ✓Excellent judgment skills
- ✓Trustworthiness and discretion with sensitive information
- ✓Attention to detail
- ✓Experience developing and/or operating systems for managing complex administrative processes
- ✓Strong analytical and research skills
- ✓Excellent writing and research skills
- ✓Ability to work in a responsive, collaborative, and creative manner
