About the Role
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support critical applications and systems for HRA and DHS. This role involves managing enterprise middleware platforms and maintaining server environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Support HRA DSS/DHS environments including critical external and internal facing applications
- →Manage and support enterprise middleware platforms including WebLogic, WebSphere, Curam, and DIP services
- →Monitor and maintain the health of 800+ enterprise servers and middleware environments
- →Respond to and resolve complex infrastructure and middleware issues
- →Collaborate with application groups, system administrators, and vendors to deliver lasting solutions
- →Proactively prevent outages and ensure consistent, high-performing integrations
- →Participate in the evaluation, design, and planning of modernized data center and cloud solutions
Requirements
- ✓Experience with middleware platforms such as WebLogic, WebSphere, Curam, and DIP
- ✓Knowledge of server environments including Solaris LDOMs, Zones, Power LPARs, Red Hat Enterprise Virtual servers, AWS EC2, KVM, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
- ✓Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, operating systems, middleware stacks, applications, and networks
- ✓Experience with automation scripts for faster remediation and reliability
- ✓Familiarity with observability tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, PagerDuty, and Turbonomics
- ✓Understanding of security hardening, compatibility, and high availability
- ✓Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
