About the Role
We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join the Stormwater Permitting Unit within the Capital Projects Division. This role involves managing stormwater permitting processes and providing technical expertise in stormwater engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage the Stormwater Permitting Unit and represent the team within the Capital Projects Division
- →Prepare, sign, and stamp Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) applications for submittal and approval
- →Oversee efforts to track and improve stormwater permit applications
- →Review in-house and consultant-led stormwater permit applications
- →Create and update design guidelines for stormwater capture
- →Assist with Certificates of Compliance and Commissioner’s Orders responses
- →Conduct routine construction site inspections and signoffs
- →Support construction close-out process and project handoff
- →Oversee Stormwater Management Practices (SMP) certification inspections
- →Prepare reports identifying permitting trends and recommend improvements
- →Create and present training materials for staff development
- →Provide basic SWPPP assistance to other teams and consultants
Requirements
- ✓Experience in stormwater permitting and engineering
- ✓Knowledge of SWPPP applications and stormwater regulations
- ✓Ability to manage and oversee permit tracking systems
- ✓Experience with construction site inspections and compliance
- ✓Strong project management skills
- ✓Familiarity with stormwater engineering best practices
- ✓Ability to create and present training materials
- ✓Certification in erosion and sediment control preferred
