About the Role
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking a Public Health Advisor I to work in the Sexual Health Clinics. This part-time position will support patient intake services and help maintain high-quality care in the Bureau of Public Health Clinics - Sexually Transmitted Infections.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide greeter services to visitors and patients
- →Perform registration and clerical functions
- →Post laboratory results
- →Collect fingerstick specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed
- →Recall clinic patients with reactive results via text, phone, and email
- →Handle patient callbacks for missed appointments or rescheduling
- →Maintain CPR/BLS certification
Requirements
- ✓Ability to perform clerical and administrative tasks
- ✓Experience with EMR systems preferred
- ✓Certification in CPR/BLS required
- ✓Ability to collect specimens and perform phlebotomy
- ✓Strong communication skills for patient interaction
