About the Role

The Director of Engineering for Fincrime at ClearBank is a key leadership position responsible for driving the technology agenda in the financial crime area. This role oversees a team of 14 engineers and plays a pivotal role in enhancing ClearBank's proposition and driving commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead the overall technology strategy, execution, and delivery for the fincrime cluster
→Manage and develop Engineering Managers, identifying any hiring requirements
→Drive cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with Product Leadership to create a best-in-class technology environment
→Collaborate with stakeholders to define and design robust and scalable technology solutions
→Plan and execute technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
→Drive a culture of independent teams that promote transparency in their work

Requirements

✓Extensive experience in leading people managers and technology teams
✓Demonstrated technology judgments and commercially viable decision-making
✓Experience working within financial crime
✓Experience managing high scale 24hr technology platforms
✓Ability to independently solve business problems and delegate effectively
✓Commitment to using best practices to improve products/services or processes
✓Expertise in cloud computing and managing stakeholder relationships
✓Knowledge of risk management processes and delivering software in regulated environments
✓Experience with payments screening preferable
