Senior Finance Operations Manager
Weβre looking for a Senior Finance Operations Manager to own and continuously improve our core transactional finance processes: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations, while also driving efficiency, automation, and strong internal controls as the business scales.
Youβll lead a team of three direct reports and report into the Group Financial Controller, working closely with our People & Commercial teams as well as external partners to deliver high-quality, scalable finance operations. A key priority for this role will be leading the migration of our Accounts Payable platform to a more efficient and automated solution.
What you will be doing:
Accounts Payable (AP)
β’ Own the end-to-end AP process, from purchase order creation and invoice receipt through to approval and payment
β’ Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments, resolving queries and discrepancies
β’ Implement and maintain strong controls around vendor onboarding, purchase orders, approvals, and payment runs
β’ Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
β’ Lead the end-to-end migration of the Accounts Payable platform from Tipalti to a new solution, including requirements gathering, vendor selection support, implementation, testing, and go-live
β’ Own data migration, controls validation, and post-implementation optimisation
Accounts Receivable (AR)
β’ Oversee billing, invoicing, and cash collection processes
β’ Monitor aged receivables and proactively manage overdue balances
β’ Partner with Commercial team to resolve billing issues
β’ Drive improvements in cash flow forecasting and AR efficiency
Payroll
β’ Own Group payroll operations end-to-end, ensuring accurate and on-time payroll delivery
β’ Act as a point of contact with external payroll providers
β’ Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and reporting requirements
β’ Act as a key partner to the People team, ensuring timely, accurate maintenance of employee data within the HRIS platform to support seamless payroll integration
Controls, Reporting & Process Improvement
β’ Design, implement, and maintain strong financial controls across AP, AR, and payroll
β’ Prepare and review operational finance reports and reconciliations
β’ Support month-end close activities related to AP, AR, and payroll
β’ Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and scale finance operations
β’ Document processes and continuously improve ways of working
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
β’ Manage, coach, and develop direct reports, setting clear objectives and supporting career development
β’ Act as a trusted finance operations partner to the wider business
β’ Support audits and respond to internal and external queries
Skills we'd love you to have
β’ Strong academic or professional background, demonstrating a high level of numeracy and sustained achievement
β’ Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, preferably within a fast-paced, high growth environment
β’ Familiarity with finance systems such as Tipalti, Payhawk, Sage Intacct, Pento, and Deel (advantageous but not essential)
β’ Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset
β’ A proactive approach, with a drive to continuously improve processes, increase efficiency, and leverage technology to automate tasks
