About the Role
ClickHouse is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their growing support team. This customer-facing role will involve providing excellent service to customers globally, with a focus on Japan and regional APJ and EMEA markets. The position requires onsite travel to Tokyo for customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- βWork closely with Support Services, Engineering, and Product Management to define user and customer functionality
- βDevelop solutions based on ClickHouse Cloud and open-source to share via documentation, knowledge base, blogs, meetups, webinars, and training
- βAssist with mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing with colleagues, users, and customers
- βDeliver excellent customer service as a front-line engineer, providing professional responses and guidance within required SLAs
- βBuild strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners
Requirements
- βPrior experience in a technical support organization
- βTechnical expertise in ClickHouse DBMS or similar OLAP/SQL databases
- βExperience with Cloud/SaaS platforms, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, containers, and System/Network Administration
- βAvailability for scheduling and onsite travel to deliver 24x7 global support
- βStrong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English
- βExperience in customer-facing roles involving pre- and post-sales support, solution or sales engineering, consulting, and training
- βTeamwork, global engagement, empathy, and problem-solving mindset
