About the Role
We are looking for a Security Architect to join Cloudflare’s Security Architecture Team. This role focuses on translating organizational cyber risk tolerance into technical blueprints and implementing controls to manage risks. You will provide security guidance and review encryption solutions across systems, applications, and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide input on technical security requirements for new infrastructure and engineering initiatives
- →Assist with documentation and maintenance of corporate security architecture blueprints
- →Participate in the design of robust PKI hierarchies and certificate policies
- →Provide security guidance and review of encryption solutions and cryptographic key lifecycle
- →Conduct analysis of existing encryption and management solutions to identify weaknesses
- →Ensure encryption implementations meet industry standards and compliance mandates
- →Document security requirements and architectural decisions
- →Assist with defining security policies and standards
Requirements
- ✓Advanced studies in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or similar field
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ✓12+ years of experience in information security, with 7+ years focused on applied cryptography and PKI
- ✓Expert-level knowledge of cryptographic primitives, algorithms, and digital signature standards
- ✓Proven experience designing and deploying HSMs and enterprise Key Management Systems
- ✓Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks related to data protection
- ✓Preferred
- ✓Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CCSP
- ✓Experience with cloud-native KMS solutions
- ✓Experience working with organizations similar to Cloudflare
