About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Consumer Foundations team at Coinbase. This role focuses on building and maintaining dashboards and tools to improve quality metrics and reliability across the retail app.

Key Responsibilities

→Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to identify and drive improvements to key quality metrics
→Partner with engineering teams to tackle key reliability/performance initiatives
→Advocate for quality culture improvements by improving testing, observability and tech debt management
→Partner with PM, Design, and other functions to align product strategy with long-term technical bets and roadmap
→Elevate engineering quality and promote best practices through design review, code review guidance, and process improvements
→Lead the adoption of AI-driven development practices

Requirements

✓5+ years of software development experience with experience writing performant, large scale distributed systems
✓Strong software engineering background (experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or similar)
✓Experience with observability, debugging, and profiling to improve software reliability and performance
✓Passion for improving product experience and engineering hygiene
✓Ability to collaborate with teams across the company and influence engineering culture
✓Solving complex platform-level challenges
✓Driving engineering standards across the organization
✓Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows
