About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Engineer to join Coinbase's Financial Engineering team. This role focuses on building financial data and reporting foundations to enable accurate, timely, and auditable financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang
- →Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology
- →Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems
- →Work with engineers, designers, and product managers to create quarterly roadmaps
- →Write high quality, well tested code to meet customer needs
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of software development experience with large scale distributed systems
- ✓Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services
- ✓Ability to solve complex engineering problems aligned with team objectives
- ✓Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical initiatives
- ✓Passion for building an open financial system
- ✓Ability to use generative AI tools responsibly in daily workflows
