About the Role
We are looking for software engineers to join Confluent's Traffic team, responsible for building and managing the networking fabric of Confluent Cloud. This role focuses on developing high-performance, scalable, and resilient systems for cloud data planes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build the software for Confluent Cloud's network data plane platform
- →Independently drive execution of software projects for production
- →Build upon open source software to deliver business impact
- →Troubleshoot issues in a complex technical stack spanning multiple clouds
Requirements
- ✓2-5 years of cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience
- ✓Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- ✓Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
- ✓Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
- ✓Experience building and operating large-scale systems
- ✓Solid understanding of systems (disk, network, operating systems)
- ✓Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or other statically typed languages
- ✓BS, MS in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- ✓A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in teams
