About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Contentful’s infrastructure team. You will be responsible for innovating and maintaining the company’s underlying storage infrastructure and adjacent services, directly impacting customers’ experience with scalability and performance features.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and develop content storage infrastructure that serves billions of requests
- →Work with AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
- →Collaborate with teams in content storage and delivery domains
- →Develop and maintain services written in Typescript and Go
- →Anticipate and mitigate operational risks before they cause problems
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in software development and systems engineering
- ✓Strong understanding of relational database engines, preferably PostgreSQL
- ✓Thorough AWS knowledge across core services: RDS, S3, Lambda, SNS/SQS
- ✓Terraform and Kubernetes expertise
- ✓Kafka experience is a plus
- ✓Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Typescript, Go)
- ✓Experience with observability stacks and tools like Splunk and DataDog
- ✓Excellent English communication skills
